"Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an iconic event for families all over the world," says Jim Gallagher, president of marketing for Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. "I can think of no better way to introduce families to Disney's newest stars from 'Bolt,' and celebrate one of Disneya-Pixar's most beloved characters in Buzz Lightyear."
"The Macy's Parade has been the launching pad for many new beautifully animated characters just waiting to leap into the hearts of fans everywhere, and this year is no exception," says Amy Kule, producer of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade(R). "The addition of Bolt and Buzz Lightyear to an already stellar line-up is sure to be a highlight of the annual procession and make Bolt and Buzz Lightyear instant Parade classics."
Bolt and his unlikely traveling companions, Mittens the jaded cat and Rhino the TV-obsessed hamster, showcase their cross-country journey from New York to Hollywood aboard the Parade float. Miley Cyrus, who provides the voice of Bolt's beloved owner Penny in the movie, will be aboard the float performing "I Thought I Lost You," an original song she recorded for the movie with co-star John Travolta.
Buzz Lightyear goes to Herald Square and Beyond! The larger-than-life character helium balloon measures 67 feet long, 39 feet wide and 34 feet tall and replicates the fearless space ranger from his green and purple space boots all the way up to his helmet, which is 17 feet in diameter. In fact, Macy's Parade Studio designers used a special fabric never before used on a Parade balloon to create the clear space helmet.
For super-dog BOLT (voice of JOHN TRAVOLTA), every day is filled with adventure, danger and intrigue--at least until the cameras stop rolling. When the star of a hit TV show is accidentally shipped from his Hollywood soundstage to New York City, he begins his biggest adventure yet--a cross-country journey through the real world to get back to his owner and co-star, Penny (voice of MILEY CYRUS). Armed only with the delusions that all his amazing feats and powers are real, and the help of two unlikely traveling companions--a jaded, abandoned housecat named Mittens (voice of SUSIE ESSMAN) and a TV-obsessed hamster named Rhino (voice of MARK WALTON) -- Bolt discovers he doesn't need superpowers to be a hero. Directed by Chris Williams and Byron Howard, BOLT is ahilarious, fun-filled, action-packed animated comedy adventure in Disney Digital 3-D(TM). Rated PG, Walt Disney Animation Studios' "Bolt" hits theaters Nov. 21, 2008.
About "Toy Story"
They're toys, they talk, at least when people aren't around--and they're back... celebrating the return of the "Toy Story" franchise--in Disney Digital 3-D(TM) this time! "Toy Story," the film that started it all, takes moviegoers back to that fantastic fun-filled journey, viewed mostly through the eyes of two rival toys-- Woody (voice of TOM HANKS), the lanky, likable cowboy, and Buzz Lightyear (voice of TIM ALLEN), the fearless space ranger. The comically-mismatched duo eventually learn to put aside their differences when circumstances separate them from their owner Andy and they find themselves on a hilarious adventure-filled mission where the only way they can survive is to form an uneasy alliance. Opening Oct. 2, 2009, Disneya-Pixar's "Toy Story" kicks off a Disney Digital 3-D(TM) Toy Story celebration, which includes "Toy Story 2," opening Feb. 12, 2010, and culminates in a brand new adventure starring Buzz and Woody: "Toy Story 3"-- in theaters June 18, 2010.

The Hannah Montana actress, who is dating 20-year-old Justin Gatson, was told by her father Billy Ray Cyrus not to ruin her burgeoning career and to watch her actions, as many she is an icon for many.
"We brought Miley up with good morals and strong religion, but she's at that age where she is bound to be experimenting and her hormones are going nuts. Miley's career is just rolling along now and getting bigger and bigger. Everyone loves her and she has a shot to have a career like Julia Roberts or Jennifer Aniston or someone like that," British tabloid The Sun quoted Billy as telling a pal.
"I told her in no uncertain terms that her career would be over if something stupid were to happen and she would no longer be a role model for young girls, something she takes very seriously.I think I made an impression on her; at least I hope so," he added.
Billy also told that Cyrus was a good girl, but needed to watch where she was heading.
"I don't want to forbid her from dating because that would just make her sneak around. I'd rather have everything up front and out in the open. Miley is a really good kid, but she has to watch her step as far as boys are concerned," he said.
Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus has blasted critics for judging her relationship with Gatson.
